BMI Calculator

Calculate your Body Mass Index (BMI) to find out whether you are underweight, normal weight, overweight, or obese.

About this calculator

Body Mass Index (BMI) is calculated by dividing your weight in kilograms by the square of your height in meters. The result places adults into one of four standard categories: Underweight (below 18.5), Normal weight (18.5–24.9), Overweight (25–29.9), or Obese (30 and above). The calculator also shows the healthy weight range for your height based on the 18.5–24.9 BMI window. BMI is a population-level screening tool and does not account for muscle mass, bone density, or fat distribution.
